GlaxoSmithKline is moving to prestigious office building – City Green Court in Prague 4 Pankrác

GSK to be the first large international pharmaceutical company in the Czech Republic to occupy a green office building

Prague, 14 May 2012 – Pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline has become a new tenant in the prestigious office building – City Green Court in Prague 4 Pankrác. GSK will occupy 2,000 m2 (an entire floor) as of October 2012. The pharmaceutical company previously had its seat in KCP Business Centre Vyšehrad in Prague 2. The new lease contract in Prague 4 Pankrác was negotiated by the Tenant Representation team of Jones Lang LaSalle in Prague.

"City Green Court has a very good location, good accessibility, appealing although simple architecture and last but not least, the highest standard of environmental pre-certification (LEED Platinum). Via changing our floor plate design we would like to start with open space. We hope that our employees appreciate better and quicker communications which this type of environment naturally supports,“ says PharmDr. Monika Horníková, Managing Director of the Czech branch of GlaxoSmithKline.
"The decision to use open space offices by a pharmaceutical company is very rare on the Prague market and demonstrates a different approach to work place organisation, even in such a conservative sector such as the pharmaceutical industry. There are several advantages of this solution such as; quicker and more efficient communication among employees and, in this particular case, also a saving of up to 30% of leased space (in contrast to cellular office units),“ adds Jan Mechl, Associate Director for Tenant Representation of Jones Lang LaSalle in Prague, who was responsible for this project on the Tenants side.
City Green Court is a prime office building in Prague 4, which is located at the crossroads of Pujmanové and Hvězdova Streets. After completion, City Green Court will offer a total of 16,000 m2 of prime office space. PriceWaterhouseCoopers has become its anchor tenant. The property is being developed by Skanska Property Czech Republic. More at
