Reconstructed offices in Slovanský dům attract new tenants

Prague, 17 April 2013 – Offices in Slovanský dům have recently been completely reconstructed and refurbished. New entrance halls and receptions have been built and the technical facilities of the building have been completely modernized to reflect the latest trends and efficiencies. Slovanský dům now offers 4,000 sq m (out of a total of 11,000 sq m) of A class office space, at a prestigious and prime address in the heart of the city centre. This embodies a very interesting alternative to existing properties and those that are currently under construction. The unique and special attributes, high quality and superior location are just a few reasons why Slovanský dům has attracted new tenants: in March, a major developer, ECE Projectmanagement Prague, signed a contract for 900 sq m and in April, final agreement is expected on the lease of a further 600 sq m with companies active in the private equity and consultancy business and sectors.

”Slovanský dům is a strong, representative first class property in the unique location of Na Příkopě, which remains the most prestigious office address in Prague, and is proof of the constant demand for office space in the city centre. The centre of Prague is going through a transformation at present; after many years of very limited development activity, the centre of Prague is witnessing a number of new projects being delivered which resets the norm for the expected standards and hence second hand buildings will and should catch up in order to compete,” says Ondřej Novotný, Head of Research of Jones Lang LaSalle, commenting on the situation.

Marta Kadlecová, Senior Consultant of Jones Lang LaSalle Office Agency, continues: “The landlord of Slovanský dům, Invesco Real Estate, is among the pioneers in setting up these guidelines and adapting this trend. The investments made through the modernisation of the inner premises, will secure a stable interest in the property. Among the biggest tenants in Slovanský dům belong A.T. Kearney GmbH, Emirates Airline and law firms Vyroubal Krajhanzl Školout a Hogan Lovells. Above all, Slovanský dům has a unique advantage arising from the combination of high standards, popular location and a wide range of facilities and services including a relaxation zone, restaurants, shops and a cinema, which only a few buildings can offer at an equal level in the heart of the centre.“
